A Message from the President:
As President of the Channel District Community Alliance, I want to thank you for visiting our site. Since greater communication is one of our goals, and this website is the cornerstone of that communication, it is always a work in progress. Our motto is to join the conversation so that are better informed about the changes that are rapidly taking place around us. By joining the CDCA you will become part of that conversation, be better informed, and have opportunities for yourself as a resident or business to build our urban village. Membership is essential for us to be able to clearly communicate and our new system will make that easy. By becoming a member of the CDCA you will be added to advance mailings, notices of meetings/upcoming events, and Member Benefit discounts throughout the District.
Mission+Vision
The Mission of the CDCA is to promote all facets of the community included in the established legal boundaries known as the Channel District of Tampa, Florida. A driving force supporting this effort is to seek an “Arts Community” emphasis for the District.
The vision of the Channel District Community Alliance is to provide the vehicle for residents and businesses to come out of the residential buildings and into the community to build an urban arts village. The focus is to enhance the awareness of the Channel District, collaborate with neighboring districts, city government, and developers to make the Channel District one of the best neighborhoods to enjoy the benefits of urban Tampa.

Since 2012 – Every 3rd Thursday | Live Music | Cocktails | Food Trucks (formally known as Flicks + Food Trucks) is a hip, nighttime event located on Madison Street at Grand Central at Kennedy in the center of the Channel District of Downtown Tampa!
This event is a gourmet Food Truck event featuring Live Music and Cocktails provided by the Pour House Tampa. **New for 2017 this event will feature a onsite gaming for adults and kids to have fun provided by Mobile Gaming Revolution and a mobile photo booth brought to you by Tampa Selfie Photo Booth!
This event is free to attend as the trucks and bars offer their products for sale. Free 2 hour parking is located on site and Dogs are welcome. The fun starts at 6pm sharp and ends at 10pm.
On average Flicks + Food Trucks draws a minimum of 1000+ fans from all points of Tampa Bay. A significant amount of those fans live within the residential areas of the Chanel District, Downtown Tampa and at Grand Central at Kennedy.
Created by Tampa Bay Markets, Inc. local grass roots company that creates and operates open-air, fresh Markets and other local events for the Tampa Bay area. Hosted at The Grand Central at Kennedy, from 6pm-10pm, on the 3rd Thursday of every month & always held rain or shine!
